Updating MIFAB Prices,
Product Data and Drawings

You can determine program version and price book version you are using by going to the menu Help / About. The following panel will pop up.

If you have registered your program, we will inform you of exactly what you need. Sometimes you will only require a single file, or a few files, not an entire update. The following is information about where the file types are located.

Sharing certain files can be a great advantage. For example if you share the "other Manufacturers" file, anyone can use the products entered into any other persons PC.

You can check where to share the files by selecting the menu Tools / Options.

Close the program after you make these changes then the new location will take effect.

The Price Book box tells you where the price database is installed initially. You must copy the file "PriceCnd.mdb" into the directory where the shared file will be located and change the path here.

The User database box tells you where the open quotations database is installed initially. You must copy the file "UserData.mdb" into the directory where the shared file will be located and change the path here.

The Export Quotations box tells you where your quotations are stored initially. You must create the directory where the shared quotations will be located and change the path here.

The Other Manufacturers database box tells you where the other manufacturers database is installed initially. It is a good idea to share this database, because everyone doing quotations can use the same data. You must copy the file "OtherManufacturers.mdb" into the directory where the shared file will be located and change the path here.
