Combining your Quotation with Submittal Sheets |
|
The Adobe Acrobat Standard program enables you to combine your quotation with all of the associated submittal sheets into one document This makes it much easier and less confusing when sending or printing.
We supply a .zip file with ALL of the submittal sheets so users could unzip the files on their PC and build a document using Adobe Acrobat Standard at any time with whatever sheets they need. Go to the MIFAB web site, open the [Kwik Quote] page and follow the link. Presently, when there are several submittal sheets associated with a quotation the program downloads the latest sheet from the internet and opens each sheet in a separate window. This means there are many attachments when they are sent by email to a customer. We have recognized this problem but we are not able to have the KQ program read the files from the internet and combine them into a single .pdf containing all of the submittal sheets. There is a way for a customer with the Adobe Acrobat Standard program to create a single document containing all of the submittal sheets 1. After you have saved your quotation as a .pdf, run Adobe Acrobat Standard and then open your quotation from the directory "C:\Program files\MIFABUS\Quotations". 2. In Adobe Acrobat Standard menu File / Create PDF / From multiple files. ![]() 2. Now on your own PC locate the directory containing all of the submittal sheets. ![]() 3. Then select the sheets you want to combine by holding down the 4. If you need to change the order of the submittal sheets, click the sheet you want to move then use the [Move Up] and [Move Down] buttons in the Arrange files box to put the sheets in order.
5. [OK] and give the new file a name, we suggest the same name as the reference number on your quotation.
6. Attach the new document to the email with your quotation. (or print if you must)
If you do not find a particular submittal sheet in the directory on your PC, you can save it on your own PC by opening it in KQ and then using the menu click File / Save or using the save icon "save a copy."
